We believe God is doing “a new thing!” (Isaiah 43:19) at Trinity-First UMC. We want to “Learn, Serve, Care and Grow” together in ministry for God’s glory. I invite you to join us as we work to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
I would like to share my background with you. My wife Cindy is a Certified Lay Minister and the Discipleship Coordinator at Trinity-First UMC. Olivia, our daughter, is a 7th grader at Hornedo Middle School where she plays French horn in the band. I earned a B.A. degree in Religion from Southern Nazarene University (1984), and the Master of Divinity (1989) and Doctor of Ministry (2004) degrees from Nazarene Theological Seminary. In 2005, I was ordained an elder in the Church of the Nazarene where I served fifteen years as a pastor and missionary. In 2013, we were appointed to serve the First United Methodist Church of Crane, Texas and the Union Church of Grandfalls, Texas. In 2015, the New Mexico Annual Conference recognized my ordination and accepted me as a Provisional Elder in the conference.
We invite you to travel with us on this faith journey.
